Muscle or bone: Chronic back discomfort on motion usually comes from musculoskeletal structures(spine or muscles of the back). Xrays of the spine would diagnose arthritis which may be the cause of the discomfort. Other possibilities include inadequate spine architecture, bad posture, poor mattress, autoimmune disorder. Consult a spine or orthopedic specialist for evaluation, advice and treatment.
