Inflammation: A slightly low lymphocyte count usually is meaningless.  A high erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) indicates an infection or some sort of systemic inflammation. Hundreds of things can cause it. High ESR never gives a clue to any particular diagnosis. It just means additional exams and testing are necessary to learn the cause. Keep working with your doctor. could lymphoma be causing my sed rate to be 65?  im 22, have mobile, painless lymph nodes in neck.  ultrasound suggested most likely reactive nodes but crp is 16, ldh is 239, lymphocytes% is 14, ige is 1909.  i am itchy a lot.  why high esr?

Inflammation: High ESR suggest inflammation, not necessarily infection. Your IgE levels suggest allergic inflammation. You may watch and wait. You may feel the nodes every couple of weeks, if any of the lymph glands doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or you develop fever, or lose weight, you should see a doctor. Inflammation?: The findings are strongly suggestive of inflammation, but do not point to a specific diagnosis.  This needs to be followed up with a detailed history, physical exmaination and likely additional tests.

Need more info: Low ESR is not abnormal. Your lymphocyte count may be normal for you. Lab results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and your doctor who knows you better is usually in the best position to do that. See this site for more info.

Inflammation: This shows that your body is suffering from an inflammatory condition but does not tell us why. This is most likely an autoimmune disease and/or chronic infection (which could be a virus, bacteria, parasites and/or fungal). You need further testing. Take enough Vit. D (about 5000 iu/day) to bring D levels to 50-80.
Get further tests but also I'd also consult a homeopath and Ayurvedic practitioner.

These proteins can be due to a rheumatic disease, inflammatory disease or infectious disease. Most important is the context in which it occurs and why the test was ordered in the first place.

Likely normal: Esr - or erythrocyte sedimentation rate - is a rought determination of overall inflammation (reflected by the number of proteins in the serum). The higher the number, the longer it takes for a rbc to settle, the higher your "inflammation" is. As a rule of thumb, though, an individual's ESR should roughly equal his or her age. Hence, if you are 63, ESR would need to be >63 to be concerning.

Chronic inflammation: These data are insufficient to make a meaningful interpretation. Possibilities include a chronic infection/inflammation including tuberculosis or deep fungal infection as well as a hidden malignancy. To sort things out you need  a complete blood count and other tests/exams.
