Maybe (not) . . .: Good news: I couldn&#x27;t find any drug-drug interaction btwn L-glutamine, Lisinopril &amp; Atenolol (http://www.drugs.com/interactions-check.php?drug_list=273-0,3011-0,1476-0). Even better news: I couldn&#x27;t find any reason not to take glutamine in those w/high blood pressure (http://www.drugs.com/mtm/glutamine.html). Still, it&#x27;s best to monitor BP for several wks before starting glutamine. Then recheck BP

Avoid salt: Best to avoid salt in your food/meals as a good first attempt at lowering your blood pressure. Learn to read nutrition labels and search for "sodium" which you should keep less than 2, 000mg/d. Also look for foods high in potassium and magnesium (rather than sodium) as some studies suggest that higher levels of both are associated w/better outcomes. This usually entails eating lots of fruits & vegg.

They can cause higher cholesterol and result in deposition of cholesterol in the arterial walls like any foods with higher cholesterol.  So eat all  foods in moderation.  High BP is not helped by eating foods higher in cholesterol.
