Are groundnuts bad for high blood pressure?

Sometimes: Some nuts have more cholesterol and fat in them than others. They can cause higher cholesterol and result in deposition of cholesterol in the arterial walls like any foods with higher cholesterol. So eat all foods in moderation. High BP is not helped by eating foods higher in cholesterol.

Nuts and HBP: Actually the best studied Dietary way to lower BP contains some ground nuts. The key is how much salt you eat or put on your nuts. Get the DASH diet book and follow to see how many nuts.
