: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. It usually means that Insulin resistance is developing, causing the pancreas to produce more insulin. Follow-up & diet change are needed.

No: The fasting glucose is just that - your baseline fasting glucose. It has nothing to do with what you ate the day before. The point of it is to see your overall health and diet for several months. It's used to diagnose diabetes for example. Two fasting blood glucoses on separate days that are 126 mg/dl would meet one of several definitions of diabetes mellitus.

Talk to your doctor: It is that he has to have 10-12 tests or has to have 10-12 tubes of blood drawn? What type of tests are being done? Most routine blood tests can be done on small amounts of blood. It would be prudent to talk to your doctor.
