Sometimes: That is one symptom of iron deficiency - however it is not necessary or frequently present. Craving salt can also be due to other issues as well, often due to endocrine or kidney problems.

We all do!: Most humans did not live close to the ocean.  Salt was venerated, almost as vauable as gold.  Food (natural) as avaiable, contained little sodium. Over 10, 000s of years we developed a survival taste for salt.  Too bad it has not left us!

Low BP?: Often pateints crave salt because they need salt. Do you tend to have low blood pressure. Stress can lead to hormonal imbalances that can impair your kidney's ability to hold on to salt. Get checked by a doc that understands this metabolic problem.

Cravings: Cravings could be for many reasons. Socially, mentally, personal reasons etc. If deficient in iron you might experience weired cravings as well. Get a complete labwork up to understand your situation a little further.

Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) and sodium: Hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) by its mechanism rids the body of sodium  and water  and reduces blood pressure in the process. 

If the craving is really bothersome, check with your doctor and check a sodium level. Its rare, but sometimes hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) can lower your sodium levels too much.

Possibly: Although salt craving is a symptom of addisons disease, most people who crave salt do not have this disorder, as it is very rare.  Major symptoms of addisons also include loss of appetite, nausea, weight loss, lightheadedness when standing due to low blood pressure, skin darkening.  If addisons disease is suspected, the diagnosis should be confirmed by an endocrinologist before starting medication.

104 lb sounds ok: We don't tell 104 lb teen girls to lose weight unless there is a very special reason. For an average-height girl, all the way down to a short girl of 4' 10" or 4' 11", 104 lb is a normal weight. For short girls just under 5 feet tall, 95-105 lb should be fine. Also, if a girl is still growing taller, she can keep her current weight steady and just grow into her weight (instead of losing weight).
