When young children are inappropriately aware of sexual acts or other adult type behaviors, it usually indicates exposure through witnessing in person or on TV, or from overhearing a conversation about it.  Investigate!

Yes: If your son is able to sleep thru the night without getting up to eat or drink, and is able to make it thru his school day without demonstrating this behavior, then it is a serious psychological issue and an evaluation is in order. If he is waking and having hunger issues at school, it could be a physical issue. Either way you need help, so call your pediatrician asap!
