Exposure: Most 7 year olds have not yet had the discussions regarding sexuality with parents/school, as they are not usually mentally or emotionally developed enough to grasp the concepts. When young children are inappropriately aware of sexual acts or other adult type behaviors, it usually indicates exposure through witnessing in person or on TV, or from overhearing a conversation about it. Little kids also explore their own bodies and sometime find places that feel good or "tickle" when they are touched. That's normal and it's not the same thing as masturbation.
