2. The immune system activates, causing inflammation  which, in itself, can cause damage manifested by swelling, redness, warmth, and pain.

Gloves scorpion: Depends on how big your scorpion is and what the gloves are made of. So ask other who work where you do their recommendations. Just don't lay they down where scorpions can get into them.

Symptomatic: Most scorpions in my area are non-venomous. So i would check with your doctor regarding how dangerous scorpions are in your area. But most can be managed with a cool pack and benadryl (diphenhydramine).

No: Ice packs, maybe some Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for most scorpion stings. In the absence of a true allergy to scorpion venom, pennsylvania doesn't have any really dangerous scorpions to my knowledge. Now if you live in the desert southwest, the game changes - the bark scorpion there has neurotoxic venom, potentially dangerous.

Type of Scorpion: That totally depends on the type of scorpion. Most of the scorpions in the us aren't too bad - but the bark scorpion is.  Some scorpions outside of the us are very venomous.  A single bee's venous isn't bad unless you are allergic to it.
