See an eye doctor: There are several brands of contact lenses that can help you. One brand may be more comfortable to you than another. The best way to know is to have your eye doctor examine your eyes and provide you with a pair to test how they work for you.

Depends: How bright are the objects?  Is the blurriness the same with each eye?  Glasses generally provide accurate correction of astigmatism while contacts sometimes don't.  How long have you had the glasses and contacts - your refraction may have changed.  This should be presented to your ophthalmologist so he can be sure there is no other problem.

Blurriness : Blurriness just a night could be due to an under correction in your lens prescription.

Astigmatism: 90 is the direction of the astigmatism not the amount.  Astigmatism is when the eye is not entirely round and is very common.  For low levels of astigmatism it is possible to provide a spherical equivalent prescription.  However, if you are symptomatic at night it might me necessary to have the full correction.

Use eyeglasses: Contacts are a convenience which allow for good sight without the need for eyeglasses.  If you see better without them, they are not a requirement.  If your ophthalmolgist has been advised about your difficulty, perhaps a better fit can be found.  Otherwise consider regular eyeglass use.

how do i know if i have keratoconus or astigmatism. my astigmatism is quite severe, i see symptoms of astigmatism mostly at night but sometimes on cloudy days, though it wont be as strong as night. i also have monocular diplopia?

: keratoconus is easily diagnosed with a corneal topography which is in may ophthalmologist's offices in addition to measureing the corneal thickness.  Treatment is with contact lenses to restore vision and if progressive corneal cross linking.  If the severity is worse then a corneal transplant.  See and ophthalmologist
