it could be a bug bites, skin infection like impetigo, sometimes the bug bites get infected as well.

Causes of pain may include: trauma (fracture, sprain, arthritis), infection, metabolic conditions (gout), musculoskeletal or biomechanical abnormality and neurologic conditions (neuropathy).

The symptoms are one sided leg pain, swelling, cramping or warmth in the area. You need to be see by a Dr ASAP since this blood clot can have small pieces break off and travel to your lungs. Treatment: blood thinners/thrombolytics.
