Sources of inflammation in the lungs include infection, autoimmune disorders, injury of lung tissue, chronic respiratory inflammation, and malignancies.

Lymph node: enlargement is caused by infection or inflammation in the vast majority of cases.  RARELY are they caused by cancer or lymphoma.  If your GI says infection, I would be comfortable with it.
