Burping: Burping probably a normal response- resulting in letting out of air by relaxing the esophageal sphincter. It may occur more frequently when you eat in a hurry, or use of carbonated beverages. When eat hurriedly you tend to swallow more air which has to be expelled. Frequent belching may also be due to acid reflux, hiatal hernia, peptic ulcer disease etc. These need to be addressed if excessive.

i have been burping constantly for the past 2 weeks, whether i am full or hungry. i have taken eno which isn't helping. it's small burps and i also feel bloated. please help as i feel sick?

Aerophagia:  Most belching is caused by swallowing excess air. This air most often never even reaches the stomach but accumulates in the esophagus. Chronic belching may be related to inflammation of the stomach lining , or to an infection with H.Pylori,smoking, sucking candies, carb. beverage,Eating fast contributes.Treat heartburn and all above.Need lifestyle change . Avoid stressful situation.

Constant burping.: Your constant burping could be a sign that you have acid reflux which is not under adequate control.  I would consider adopting anti-reflux precautions, particularly avoiding caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol and avoiding any exacerbating foods. I would add Tums to  your medicine regimen as needed. If the problem persists, then you may want to see your doctor for a trial of medications. Good luck.

Yes: These symptoms may be caused by anxiety or stress. Try a light diet. Also try not to force yourself to burp as this only causes you to swallow more air and cause more belching. Instead eat a fat free,light diet and take mylanta after meals to prevent gas buildup.Drinking flat ginger ale helps settle your stomach. See your MD if symptoms persist.

Gi distress: Get tested for H pylori - a bacteria that is associated with gastritis and needs antibiotics to resolve. Consider food intolerances like dairy, gluten, soy ,  to check for intolerances you avoid foods with the inciting agent for a week ( i.e.  , no dairy  or no gluten wheat products, challah for a week ) and see if it improves. Do it sequentially , one week  no dairy, one week no soy. F/u/ w/ GI

Separate issues.: C Section is not ordinarily related to GI symptoms. Rarely it can cause scar tissue related impingement of intestine. Get tested for H Pylori, Get your stool examined, try Ranitidine or omeprazole for symptom relief. Hope you are not anemic/ gall bladder issues.

Depends : A lot depends on the surgery. Most esophageal perforation occurr during endoscopic procedures of the esophagus, like dilatation of a stricture! etc.

Possible Gastritis: When pain occurs with hunger it could be gastritis or gastric ulcer. May improve with antiacids, frequent small meals , quitting smoking and avoiding nsaids and alcohol.

Heartburn: Could be gastritis or gastric ulcer. Eliminating alcohol, caffiene, peppermint, citrus fruits could help with former, the later would require a workup.

had right inguinal mesh repair 1.5 yrs ago. since last 2-3 months having symptoms like heartburn,chestfull fealing,stomach makes gurgling sound,feeling like burps not coming,always feeling full and not hungry. terrified if its related to my surgery?
