what causes a person to vomit during a bowel movement? i  have experienced this quite a lot in the past year. it is accompanied by severe cramping.

Maybe part. obstruct: Don't know your med/surg history.
Partial blockage of bowel from many causes, including kinking from  adhesions (internal scars) due to prior surgery and/or inflammation; tumor of bowel, gyn organs, strictures or narrowing from inflammatory bowel  disease, poor blood flow, radiation damage, other masses, etc.  Repeated bouts not likely to be due to acute infection, e.g. Some viruses, etc.

what could cause stomach cramps, softened stool, increase in bowel movements, some vomiting, with no fever, and no change in diet ? im asking in regards to my 6 year old daughter.this has been going on for about a week and a half.she normally has a bowel

This : This sounds like a mild case of gastroenteritis (stomach flu or food poisoning). The symptoms usually resolve in about a week or so. The key is to maintain hydration and eat a bland diet until the symptoms subside. If more than a week goes by without resolution, she has  a persistent fever, or you notice blood, mucus, or parasites in the stool you should bring her to a doctor right away. Otherwise, she should be a lilttle better everyday.

Vomit: When you have a bowel movement, you increase your intra abdominal pressure and if you have reflux or a hiatal hernia, it increases your vomiting risk. Check with your doctor. All the best.

Cramps: If you have the urge to move your bowels but can't, work from below by inserting a glycerin rectal suppository or dulcolax suppository. If no results apply a fleets enema. If cramps persist and no bowel movement,you'll have to be examined for fecal impaction or other causes of incomplete intestinal obstruction. This would be best done in the hospital emergency room. Stomach bug: try the BRAT diet.  You can eat banana rice applesauce toast.  See if you can hold down liquids first.  Advance slowly.  Sometimes it can last a while.  So long as liquids are ok then you'll avoid dehydration.  Over time if you do not feel any improvement then see your doctor.  The cough could be the flu so if you are having fevers then see your doctor early.  New treatment is antiviral medication

Nervous system: It sound like your nervous system is reacting to the stress of the bad bowel motion.
How often do you have bad bowel motions?
If it is  only a few times a year just try to work out what sets it off eg certain foods, alcohol, stress.
If it is happening more often than that you probably should see a doctor for a check up

IBS: I am not sure why you have been having blue bowel movements but your stomach cramps and change in bowel movements could be due to irritable bowel syndrome. If you have had any recent infections or if the pains worsen you should get evaluated by  a physician.
