Advil (ibuprofen): Acetaminophen is the same as tylenol (acetaminophen).  You should be able to take Aspirin like medicines which include advil, motrin, alleve and anacin.   Do not take panadol which is like tylenol (acetaminophen).

Just developed them or had for long time. What other things have worked for you that are not NSAIDS.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) : Tylenol (acetaminophen) is safe in pregnancy. If that does not work or if your headache persists or is severe you need to contact your ob/gyn for an evaluation. There are serious conditions in pregnancy that can present with a headache (i.e. High blood pressure). These issues can have serious consequences for your pregnancy, so please inform your doctor right away.

Might use excedrin migraine to stop.

Prevention/ablation: Best to stop headaches are triptan, if taken in first 90 minutes.  Ergotamines or Cambia will be useful perhaps later in course.  Maybe most successful is to prevent events and topirimate, depakote, calcium channel blockers, and otc agents such as riboflavin, co-q10 or butterbur can be considered.

NOT MAJOR TASK: At onset of migraine, triptan drugs can often stop headache within 2 or less hrs.  Best approach of course is prevention, which can be achieved with either otc preps or prescription meds.  Botox is often a great approach.  Many pts find that a few hours of sleep can eliminate the headache.  See a neurologist for further guidance.
