In short, Yes: About one ounce of water per kilogram of body weight (if you weigh 150 pounds, 75 ounces of water -- 9 cups) is considered appropriate. There is "water" in many things however, so it doesn't have to be just free water. It is good for kidneys, bladder, heart, colon and your skin. You should drink throughout the day, not just morning!

No: no if you are not on intake restricted diet like for liver disease, heart disease or kidney disease.

No: Your kidneys like to be hydrated. Drinking water helps them from having to do extra work to concentrate your urine. The limits to drinking too much water are more related to your sodium level and heart if you have heart disease. Kidneys love the extra hydration.

Kidney stone: The stone has moved down the ureters and through the bladder and is in the urethra. The pain is referred to the genitals.

Sensitive teeth: Stop drinking lemon water which can cause the calcium in your teeth to be lost. You need to do 2 things: 1) See a specialist Urologist for proper treatment of your kidney stones. 2) See your General Dentist for treatment of your damaged tooth enamel.

Depends: If you have stones in kidneys, you need lots of fluids. If you have edema or take Lasix (furosemide) (water pills) you needn't to drink much since you already have lots of fluids in your system. If none of the above, 1-3 liters are ok. The range is d/t the weather.  Near 3 liters in summer or athletic activity and near 1 liter if no losses. Discuss with your doc to see his point. Parenchymal dz is not specific.

No: Not real-true kidney damage. If your BUN and creatinine were just a little high because you got dehydrated, you'll get them back to normal immediately if you drink adequate water. You'll also want to stay well-hydrated if you take medicines such as ibuprofen, as otherwise the kidneys can shut down temporarily. Best wishes.

Yes, for sure: In fact insufficient water drinking is bad for all of your body systems. Recent recommendations say to drink at least 8 8oz glasses a day - this is in addition to the water we get in our food intake. Soda, coffee, etc do not count! many find it hard to get into the habit - I do - but it is true. Definitely try to come close to that amount.

Depends: In some advanced kidney disease less water may be necessary.  In earlier forms of kidney disease more water may be best.  You should followup with your physician for this question to determine which is right for you.
