Blow nose lightly & spit out any liquid that drains into throat. Repeat on other side. This can be done in the evening before you go to bed & again in the morning.

Post operative nose: The answer depends how long it's been since your surgery. If its the first week then oral steroids may help. Sudafed can also be effective. If its been more like a month then nasal steroid sprays like Nasonex (mometasone) or Flonase could help. If its been longer, it's possible your surgery was ineffective. Wait at least 9 months and consider a revision if the situation has not improved. Best of luck.

First ask parents to be sure your room is clean and cat hair and cat free and cleaned before you get there. Nasalcrom (cromolyn) is a great way to help prevent cat issues...It is over the counter and you can start using it a week before you come home and it will reduce your response.
