Labs reassuring: Alcoholic cirrhosis can take many years to develop. A normal ultrasound and liver function tests means that your liver is healthy!! Your liver can detox itself very effectively because you are young. Your symptoms may be due to your liver working overtime, without actual liver damage. Make an effort to eat healthy foods, exercise regularly and avoid alcohol and you will likely feel much better.

Q: my skin itches so bad i've started to bleed. what would be the best way to treat my itchy skin?

Antihistamines: If you are pregnant and itching that badly you need to see your care provider to rule out possibly serious conditions such as cholestasis of pregnancy. If serious conditions are ruled out than you can try antihistamines such as Claritin zyrtec or Benadryl (diphenhydramine) as well as oatmeal baths like aveeno and emollient skin creams such as eucerin. Make sure your air is well humidified as well

Many possibilities: When the body itches all over, it implies that the itching/rash may be a reaction from an ingestion such as a medication or food, or an allergy to the environment, ie hayfever. Another possibility could be a skin infestation such as scabies. Reactions to things like fabrics or laundry detergent will usually spare certain parts of the body such as the head/scalp, hands and feet.

Q: my everything itches! all the time. sometimes little lumps develop. sometimes its just itchy skin. i have hashimotos bipolar fibromyalgia osteoarthritis. been checked for lupus dont have it. but still itching all the time. cream or showers dnt help?

Itchiness : In order to answer this, be evaluated in person. A few questions come to mind, it this related to a nutrition deficiency, liver problem, side effects of medication/supplement, or allergic inflammation

Oddlly enough sometimes an h-2 bkocker like tagamet for the the stomach can help. It may be allergic reaction or something else and i would not avoid seeing a doctor. I would trey Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at night and tagamet is pretty cheap. Look up idiop.

Q: i have patches of dry itchy skin that go from my elbow and close my hand it only itches once in a while i've never had this before?

Skin rash: It may be different things, such as eczema or psoriasis, you need to have a doctor look at it.

Q: i get extremely itchy skin usually on my legs and when i itch it i get raised bumps and red pin point dots and it itches more. should i be concerned?

Dry skin?: Try applying a moisturizer on your legs within 3 minutes after bathing (daily bathing is encouraged) to see if this helps (may take a couple of weeks). Avoid scented or anti-bacterial soap. If the problem fails to resolve, consult a dermatologist.

For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

please help me i have had itchy skin for 20 years and it is so bad now i am going crazy. when this all started i was diognosed with lupous and  then a coulple years later liver and then that didn't pan out they just gave me cream.  the itching is accross

I : I am so sorry to hear about your struggle with your skin. Since this has been going on for twenty years, if i recommend something that has been done or tried please forgive me. You need a complete allergy panel specifically for the area you live in. You should request skin and blood allergy testing. Have you tried Atarax (hydroxyzine) pills for itching? How about steroid injections every three months. Acupuncture?  Acupressure? A daily anti-histamine wont hurt. Also consider cutting out gluten and monitor for any improvement.
