See MD: If the wound is old it's likely to be a seroma. Patient needs to be seen to update tetanus and rule out infection. Good luck.

Edema CHF?: The reason you are both having edema is in part related to eating more sodium(Na) than your kidneys can get rid of. There are many causes and you need to find out as treatment will differ widely.  I recommend USING the app Cronometer to track Na intake to see where the Na is coming from. Your daily goal should be &lt;1,500 mg Na.  Discuss results with your team.  Keep them and us posted.

Infection: There is high risk of pasturella infection with cat scratches. I would see your MD and have it washed out and antibiotics likely needed. Clear liquid good sign, but redness around could be sign of infection....

Not directly: Appendicitis is inflammation of the appendix and is a medical emergency. Many cases of appendicitis require removal of the inflamed appendix by laparotomy or laparoscopy due to the high mortality associated with rupture of the appendix, which may lead to severe complications such as peritonitis and sepsis. It is not directly a cause of leg pain, but when inflamed the leg movements can illicit pain.

First: take an anti-: Inflammatory agents. For Ibuprofen the dose is 10 mg/kg/dose taken after meals every 8 hrs. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is not an anti-inflammatory drug and it also taken every 4 hrs.  It is much less doable outside a hospital setting. Tylenol (acetaminophen) dosing is 10-15 mg/kg/dose every 4 hrs.

Medical supply store: Graduated compression hose generally require a prescription from you doctor. They will need to specify the extent of the pressure needed and you will need to get measured for them. This is usually a service of a medical supply store in your community . These are generally not available at pharmacies or drug stores.

Swollen legs: Swollen les can be caused by many different things such as high blood pressure, infection, heart or kidney failure but when weeping drainage it may be much more serious like cellulitis. Call the dr. Right away.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you and your symptoms warrant evaluation by a physician. However, if you are overweight, losing weight would help, easier said than done. You may also try to limit your salt intake. If you have to stand at work, try to find a soft mat to keep under your feet.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
