Prolapse of the anterior leaflet of mitral valve gives soft blowing systolic murmur over the mitral valve, often not associated with any pathology or leakage of the valve aka mitral regurg. Last, I see u r on thyroid medicine, so be sure your TSH is in normal range .

It also allows onr to see how the rest of the heart is performing, whether there has been damage to the heart muscle or if there are other valves are not working right.
