See the dentist.: Pain and swelling following dental extraction is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery, after that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop. If pain or other symptoms persists or worsens, it may require attention and you should call your dentist or oral surgeon (second opinion) for follow up appointment.

It depends: Did the dentist cover over the bone graft with a membrane?
The bad taste may be from blood or food being caught or even from the antibiotics or peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) rinses you should be taking to get the bone graft to properly work

Maybe a coincidence?: This is not a very common reaction to extraction and bone graft. Usually when someone experiences this it is due to either vitamin deficiency or an atypical reaction to something that there oral tissues was exposed to. You may want to go back to your dentist/surgeon to see if this can be further evaluated by a specialist in oral medicine.

Bitter taste: Bitter taste in the mouth can be from all sorts of causes. Merely listing them won't really help you. Did you ask your own dentist what he/she thinks are the possibilities even if it's not from the extraction? Did you ask if you should consult with your own physician?  You need to be evaluate by both a physician and a dentist to  figure this out for you.

Could be other cause: The bitter taste could be related to other causes such as sinus issues and related post nasal drip or stuff on the tongue. Would suggest using a saline nasal spray to help break up any post naal drip and brush your tongue to eliminate any trapped food particles. if you dont see improvement in a week recommend followup with an ENT to rule out sinus issues.

i had bone graft done on lower jawbone for a dental implant. monday will be 4 weeks since procedure. have swelling & pain in neck & jaw. not in mouth.

Needs evalution: Please go back to the oral surgeon or dentist who did the procedure. You may have an infection.

: You may want to inquire at a local teaching hospital or dental school where the fees for such an extensive rehabilitation may be less than at a private practice. Thee no resources that I know of that pay for such treatment.

is it wrong for bone graft material to overlap on adjacent teeth;my bone line is uneven now;is this easy to fix? one of the teeth has a tempt crown.

Bone level: There are many reasons for bone level to be uneven post-surgery.  Please return to the specialist Periodontist, Prosthodontist, or Oral Surgeon that treated you for a post-surgical re-evaluation.  If bone graft was done by a General Dentist, please ask him/her to reevaluate and to determine if referral to a specialist is in order.
