CARDIOVASCULAR!: Health risks: high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke risk, possibly diabetes, death

social risks: snoring, drowsy driving, fatigue, exhaustion.

Cures: there are none. There are only control methods. The "gold standard" is a cpap. Use it, every night, all night. Don't make the mistake of taking it off in the middle of the niight--when it is needed most is the last half of your night's sleep.

Depends on variables: In the hands of experienced ENT surgeons + a good anesthesia team, this is a routine procedure with low risk.It helps if the kid can be scheduled when there has been no recent lower respiratory tract infections that might lead to longer recovery time.

: Benefit of this med is most often seen if taken early in the process. After symptom day 5, the benefit may be minimal.

Sleep: Yes you can get rid of it over time but will some devices for sleep and also gradually lose weight.

Chest pain Yes: Chest pain can be due to an heart attack, esophagitis, acid reflux, musculoskeletal problems, gall bladder disease, pericarditis, pneumonia, pleurisy etc. Check with your doctor.

Headaches: Please discuss this with your physician as soon as possible. Have you been issued a cpap? If so are you wearing it? If not, that may be one of the causes of your pain.

Upper airway struct.: Your upper airway is the most likely cause. Large tongue, asian descent, shape of palate, shape of mandible, uvular size, and many other facial characteristics can all contribute to sleep apnea. Your sleep doc should have evaluated you for these traits. Ask your doc what he or she thinks may be the problem. Even skinny little kids can have apnea! best wishes.

LPR.: LPR can lead to symptoms that mimic asthma and allergic rhinitis.  And being that LPR/GERD can affect us more at night, they can disrupt your sleep.

Apnea: any age or wt: Apnea is not just caused by being overweight. It can happen in babies or seniors. The structure of your face and upper airway has a lot to do with it. Klonopin (clonazepam) might not be safe with apnea  depending on the type, obstructive, central or mixed. Do not stop the Klonopin (clonazepam) suddenly. Talk to your md and ask them to refer you for sleep testing.
