Hard to call: With your child having the vaccine and testing negative for varicella/chicken pox-the rash could be a contact rash or due to virus. Doubt insect related. Monitor the rash over time offering comfort care -cool water and moisturizer. If spreads or worsens, seek care to determine what might be progressing.

Blisters: Shin guards are a necessity when playing soccer. Bruises to the leg can possibly cause severe problems such as a compartment syndrome because there is little protection for the tibia in the front of the leg. Other than blisters from rubbing, I have seen few problems from wearing shin guards.

Accepted Answer

Hyperpigmentation : What you describe is likely permanent. Postinflammatory changes from infections, trauma, acne, etc. Can lead to scarring and hyperpigmetation.  Bleaching and lightening agents  may prove futile.

Yes: People can get chickenpox more than once if the first case didn't get them fully immune. It is unlikely but possible.

Unlikely to be Cpx: Cpx come up rapidly from tiny bump to BB sized blister within hours.They then drain and crust. It usually starts on the neck and spreads.Spots come up in waves for about 6 days.The ave # of spots is ~200. There a lot of things that can can cause bumps, bug bites and allergic exposures being high on the list.

Doubt it: Cpx is a rash that generally starts around the neck and face before spreading elsewhere.The pox starts as a small bump that quickly becomes a blister about 2X the size of a BB shot ,ruptures and begins to dry all in the space of 12 hrs.They come up in waves of half a dozen or more.Your description does not bear any resemblance to this.

: I remember a patient walking around with a fibular fracture after a soccer injury. This can be several things, all of which need to be determined by having an examination. See a doctor

When traumatized, this very vascular tissue evokes an injury response with local bleeding/bruising and swelling around the immediate area of blunt trauma. This fluid accumulation causes an increased pressure that leads to pain. Ice, rest, compression will all help. Cartilage is in joint
