Avoid reinjury: Compression will not hurt, but the process of healing will still take several weeks. Be gentle and do not reinjure the area that was hurt to avoid prolonging the healing process.

R/O BAKER'S CYST: Your SX are suggestive of a bakers cyst that may be leaking or potentially ruptured. You need to be examined and have an US or potentially MRI performed On the affected knee and calf. Seek prompt medical attention. Also ortho consult for steroid injection vs arthroscopic removal

Sciatica: It is very likely you have sciatica.  The sciatic nerve can be irritated with by many things. Recommend NSAIDs, exercise and ab strengthening.  Sleep and sit on hard NOT soft surfaces. If not better definitive treatment is medrol dose pak and/or PT.

If really bad symptoms, the ER may help too.
