hello dr. my 8year old daughter has just noticed what looks like a cyst on her lower lid margin which seems to have yellowish particles inside.

No pain?: Sounds like small retention cyst  - on lower eye lid . It could be small accumulate of  " oily substance " as produced by glands in eye lids for eye lubrication . Sometimes may get clogged as " pimple". Don't press on it  - just place warm compress and if not bothersome leave it alone and observe of any changes . Consult ophthalmologist if  concern or getting bigger .

lower butt crack is in pain, not far above the anus. weeks back i had wounds there but in two different places. where pain is today the skin looks red but not bulging like a cyst, skin is smooth. could it still be a pilonidal cyst or what else?

: It could be. But  (butt) needs to be examined . pl see a surgeon. In the meantime use hot/warm baths (Sitz or a tub) to the area

i think i have a median raphe cyst. my bottom left testicle feels swollen & my perineal area all the way down to my anus. tight feeling in anus happens also. left testicle also feels/looks lower than usual. who do i go to&is this easy/safe to treat?

Cyst: Could be cyst or possible abscess. Certainly sounds that is needs to be addressed.  I would start with your regular provider. He or she can evaluate this and you may need ultrasound. If necessary, referral to urologist can be made.

See answer: Depends on where the cyst is.  Cysts are usually round in shape, often they can be fluid filled.  A 3cm cyst would be a little smaller than the size of a ping pong ball. Discuss any results you are unsure of with the dr. So that you are at the center of your care.  Good luck.

See answer: You may be describing a sebaceous cyst that has become infected. If so you should see a physician.  If perchance it's not a sebaceous cyst it would still be a good idea to have it evaluated.

Cyst: This is most commonly from a mucous cyst or mucocele.  This is a swelling of the mucous membranes. These can come about from mechanical stimulation , irritant like chewing tobacco or viral process. Typically will resolve on there own.

A pilonidal cyst: Pilonidal=nest of hair. Aka sacrococcygeal fistula, is a cyst or abscess near or on the natal cleft of the buttocks that often contains hair and skin debris. When infected, it can cause quite a bit of pain in the rear-end.  If it is not bothering you, you may not need to do anything. If infected and painful, you may need it drained and/or antibiotic etc.. Consider consulting doc. Good luck.

Back Cysts: You may be referring to a "pilonidal cyst, " which is a small congenital persistence of an embryonic tube that fails to completely disappear and will sometimes get infected and cause pain and a small amount of fluid discharge in the midline near the coccyx. There are other types of cysts that your dermatologist can differentiate.

whats a lower pole cyst in the kidney? and how does it get treated?

The lower pole: Is the lower portion of the affected kidney.  An isolated cyst, if small and no renal compromise is identified is typically just an incidental finding during a scan (ct or ultrasound) for something else and just needs to be periodically observed, but not treated.
