Buproprion: Bupropion sr and wellbutrin (bupropion) xl are two different products with the same active antidepressant drug (buproprion) but they differ in the delivery rate in our system: the sr (slow release) and the xl (extra long). In my clinical experience, they are very similar, and the difference in side effect is the sleeplessness that could result from taking the xl formulation.

Wellbutrin XL: I don't know how long you have been taking Wellbutrin XL. Many side effects diminish over time. Make sure you take it in the morning . If you take Wellbutrin in the evening, you may get insomnia. Please limit caffeine significantly if you are taking Wellbutrin or it can lead to increased anxiety.

For some, yes: For all medicines sold in the us, the fda requires that the active ingredient in wellbutrin (bupropion) be equally present in brand name and generic products.  However, each generic manufacturer might use different fillers or dyes in its formulation.  Pharmacies buy generics in quantity, and might change suppliers from month to month. Some (not all) patients notice differences in their results.

my doctor prescribed me with cymbalta (duloxetine). will it cause acne and hair loss? i experienced those side effects with wellbutrin xl.

It should not: If it does, it is worth the risk. Acne can be managed; usually topical benzoyl peroxide is sufficient. It's difficult to know what to make of accounts of sudden hair loss in people on this medication; emotional turmoil can do this to people. Even if it is real, it is a small price to pay for relief of the terrible, private pain for which this medicine is usually prescribed. Be brave and go ahead.

: Check with your prescribing physician or pharmacist, but my reading doesn't recommend taking these together as increased levels of adderal can occur causing seizures or the dangerous  serotonin syndrome.

: Tribulus has been known to interact with heart and blood pressure medicines such as Beta-blockers, Digoxin, Calcium channel blockers, Diuretics, ACE inhibitors, and Nitrates.

Oranges and apples: Both antidepressants, Effexor (venlafaxine) and wellbutrin extended release are reliable and safe. But they have different mechanism of action. Interaction: Although these 2 can be used together safely, caution is needed with the doses.  Wellbutrin can inhibit the metabolism of cymbalta, (duloxetine) causing its level to rise in your system.  Seizures are possible if doses are too high also.  Please discuss your concerns with your prescribing psychiatrist.

: You can just stop it because you have used only 3 weeks.
In case of doubt, you can take q 2days for 2 days then q 3days for 2 days then stop.

None Indicated: These medications ARE NOT meant to be used for weight loss and ARE NOT SAFEto be used for that indication. Rapid weight loss in itself is not safe.  
All medications have side effects, so should only be used when absolutely needed.  
If you wish to loose weight eat clean and exercise.  If you are significantly overweight surgery may be an option- talk to your physician.
