Individually safe: Individually each of  these medications is safe in moderate doses.  Mixing alcohol and either presents risk. Speak to your doctor about this.

Product Labels: Product labels are designed to ensure that people who use the medication are as safe as possible, also some of the labelling is based on the class of agent rather than on specific information about the medication. So, you will find that the don't consume alcohol warning is on almost every, if not every, psychotropic agent. General experience is that a glass of wine at night is fine.

Better to stop: If you're on an antidepressant, it would be better if you don't take something that will depress you like alcohol.
I understand you might still want to occasionally have a drink, but try to limit it.

Cymbalta Wellbutrin: Cymbalta and Wellbutrin can be safely combined. The Cymbalta levels may be increased, but I have not seen this become a problem. The addition of Wellbutrin to SSRI antidepressants is a well studied augmenting method.

Yes, but?: Wellbutrin (bupropion) can cause seizures, itself.  Alcohol withdrawal can cause seizures withing itself.  The combination of the two certainly would be a set up for a seizure.  I wold be very careful with this medication and going through a withdrawal episode.  You doctor may have you on the medication for a very specific reason and you should discuss this medicaiton and it's side effects carefully.

: II trust you tapered off wellbutrin with the supervision of your treating physician.  It
 is recommended that you abstain from alcohol for at least 5 days after tapering and stopping wellbutrin.  It's best if you asked your treating physician this question, however.

Alcohol with meds?: Wellbutrin (bupropion) ER is in your system 24/7; Concerta taken in the morning wears off by end of the day. That said, alcohol interacts with both meds. Best to discuss with prescribing doctor who knows your complete history. I lean towards no alcohol due to interactions with med. Yes, no, no: Taking more wellbutrin (bupropion) than your doctor prescribes can definitely increase your likelihood of seizure, but stopping wellbutrin (bupropion) will not cause you to have a seizure.

is it ok to drink alcohol when taking wellbutrin (bupropion) and prozac together?

Not good: First off, alcohol is a depressant so  it makes it harder for the meds to work. Second Prozac (fluoxetine) can raise your blood alcohol levels as much as 50%. An occasional beer or glass of wine with dinner may be ok, but its best to avoid alcohol while contending with depression. And know that it may take much less alcohol than usual to fail a brethalyzer test while taking prozac, (fluoxetine) which stays in you 7-10 days.
