CBC results: Yes the CBC can vary and as long as still in the "normal
 range and one is feeling OK no reason to worry.

Reference interval: There is such a thing as intraindividual variation where your reference intervals of analyte vaues can vary within 2 standard deviations which can vary throughout the day, week or month. The WBC count would be especially sensitive and would be affected by the invading agents/exposure around you or just your circadian factors or the rise &amp; fall of your stress hormones would do it.

Cortisol effect: Cortisol present in the blood undergoes diurnal variation; the level peaks in the early morning (approximately 8 a.m.) and reaches its lowest level at about midnight-4 a.m. High glucocorticoid levels simultaneously increase the circulating number of neutrophils (neutrophilia) and decrease the circulating number of lymphocytes (lymphopenia) and monocytes (monocytopenia).

considering the size of my giant liver hemagioma 17cm x 14 x11 could this cause my wbc /differential to be a little off .read that it could trap cells?

Probably not: Generally liver hemangioma would not affect your WBC count or differential.  Mild deviations from the normal range is not uncommon and often of no clinical significance.

Not of concern: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, what you described is not of additional concern over what is engendered by polycythemia.

cbc results showed a note saying one blast like cell seen. but wbc differential- no blast. he has mds  with 1% blast in marow. what is blast like cell?

Blast cell: Follow up with hematologist. A percentage of individuals with MDS   have high risk MDS with more  than 5% blast cells in blood or may be developing blast crisis that develops into  leukemia/ Please follow up with hematologist, may need bone marrow at this time

how would leukemia or lymphoma affect wbc differential? in other words, would neutrophils be high or would lymphocytes be high? even if total wbc is 8

It depends: Lymphoma typically arises from the lymph nodes...so the blood lymphocyte count is often normal. The main finding in lymphoma is enlargement of the lymph nodes. Leukemia on the other hand is a disease of the bone marrow which does affect the blood in more than one ways. The WBC count can be low, normal or high but there are often immature white cells(Blast cells) in the blood.

going for routine blood work would a swollen tendon (tennis elbow) cause my cbc and wbc /differential  to be abnormal since there is inflamation?

No: There's lots of different kinds of inflammation. It takes systemic or very severe local disease to affect the CBC.

See your FamilyDoc: I suspect that you clicked the wrong gender box since females typically don't have testicles. Anyway, testicle pain is due to either injury, infection or loss of blood flow. You'd know if you hurt yourself down there, which leaves infection (especially if high WBC; any risk for sexually transmitted infections?) &amp; torsion, both of which need to be treated ASAP. Go to urgent care or ER if necessarry
