what can i do to get less pimples on my face? does working out and drinking more water do the trick if not what will??

Acne: Acne is primarily an adolescent related skin problem and hormones are the major culprit.  There are many products on the market that help control acne lesions and showering after work outs and drinking lots of water will help.  Depending on how bad your acne is you may want to consult your doctor about adding topical or oral treatments as well.  Just don't pick!

Pimples: Chlorine is an irritant rather than an allergen, but can cause pimples. More likely his pimples may be due to drooling

Pimples: May be an allergic reaction to antibiotics if you received some during the surgery or after.

No: Please forgive my frankness. Over-the-counter preparations do not work well either. I start with topical Clindamycin with or without a retinoic acid derivative. If needed after a few weeks, consider adding an oral antibiotic such as Erythromycin or tetracycline / Minocycline as suitable for the individual. Dermatologists have the big guns -- accutane, lasers. A clear face is your right. Good luck.

i have open pores in my face. i have tried a lot of scrubs and indrink a lot of water. what should i do yo close pores. what i do to prevent pimples?

Shrinking pores: There are multiple laser treatments available that can help to shrink your pores by stimulating collagen production.  There are also creams that can help, such as retinoic acid, which also stimulate collagen and elastin production and can help minimize the appearance of pores.   Make sure your moisturizer is "noncomedogenic."  Salicylic acid chemical peel can help with breakouts as well.

Be patient: A baby floating in the slick moist environment of the womb will have pristine skin at birth.Between 2 wks and 2 months, more than half of infants will have transient baby acne triggered by the hormones that came across during pregnancy.Keeping it clean allows it to run its course. If any sites are more inflamed or persistent, your doc should evaluate. It should fade completely by 3 mo.

Potentially: Generally we see this type of skin reaction, often called folliculitis, develop after exposure to contaminated water in heated swimming pools, whirlpools, and hot-tubs. The organism most often responsible is a bacteria called pseudomonas. Most improve on their own, and can often be treated successfully with antibacterial soap usage or occasional topical antibacterial ointments.

Patience: Baby acne is a common and temporary  problem.It usually appears by age 2 weeks and disappears by 3 months. Keeping the skin clean is the major plan. If it persists after 3 months and or intensifies, some normal ace treatments can be beneficial, but the doc should look into unusual hormonal issues as a cause at that point. Water is okay but unnecessary. It won't change the skin issue.

can washing face with coconut water cause acne?

Accepted Answer

Probably not: Coconut oil itself could cause acne as it is heavy and occlusive but in coconut water the percentage of oil in the water is probably small enough not to cause problems. However, it is not advisable to use coconut water for an acne wash as there are other much better cleansers.

can hot baths make my acne worse? even if i am not washing the face with the hot water, but the steam that's everywhere in the room?

To contrary - better: Hot steam opens the pores and permits drainage.
