You need help: First you have to make sure it is only a wart , subungual  ( under the nail )  papillomas warts      are difficult to eradicate , you have it ' for ages ' is not going to go away. First t try any over the counter medication , if it is not going away you have no choice but to see your doctor.

: I'm not sure if biting nails causes warts on your fingers, but if there is a wart, biting the nail can spread the warts to other fingers. Also touching the warts and then another part of your body can spread the warts there.

i have a growth under my middle fingernail, i think it might be a wart, but im not sure, what should i do to remove it or treat it?

See your doc: Such growths under a nail are not something you can fix yourself. Even a dermatologist may have difficulty removing such a growth without killing the nail bed with permanent loss of the nail. I would have it evaluated so a plan for safe removal can be made.

Ouch! Freezing hurts: I know, I tried it!  You have just as good a chance using over the counter salicylic acid wart removal creams, but you must use them for 6 weeks.  Biofeedback/visualization in children in studies worked well, too.  Think positive as you paint it with the over the counter med.

married to a female, but have received oral from men. i noticed a single bump/growth under my penis head in the area of circumcision scar. i picked off with my fingernail, however it has grown back. could this be a genital wart? i have pics?

Acid and scraping: A otc acid and scraping with a pumice bar will help.  If not, you can use the liquid nitrogen, liquid nitrous oxide (this is what i like to use). You can also try oral cimetadine (400 mg three times a day for 12-16 weeks). This is very safe and had the side effect of getting rid of warts for many people of adult size and weight (japma november 1, 1995 vol. 85 no. 11 717-718 ).

Warts: Left alone, most warts will eventually go away. It takes six months to two years for the body to fight off the virus. If a wart isn't causing any problems, it may be easiest not to treat it at all. If, on the other hand, it's in a noticeable place or interferes with activity, wart removal is an option.
However, I have treated warts that have been in place for 8 years.

Over the counter: You may try any over the counter wart remedy. Letting it be may cause pain because of the wart getting compressed with normal use of the hand.
