why am i waking up with itchy red bumps in the morning?

Bedding?: I would suggest that you examine the mattress for any bed bugs . Not being insulting, we shed skin all the time and spend 8 hours a day in bed this shed skin is a cause for bed mites etc. You can wrap the mattress in a bag that prevents this, pillows as well
I think the bed is the culprit because you don't complain of this during the day

: "Itchy red bumps" can be what is called a "delayed hypersensitivity" reaction to exposure to detergents, even if you have used the same detergent for years.  The areas affected tend to be those of direct contact on bedclothes, and contact is often dependent on areas of perspiration during sleep. "Tide" detergent is a common cause. Try Ivory Snow, or increase rinse cycle on washing machine.

NO: Not to worry..Sounds like your bedroom is VERY DRY! This is very common in the Winter when heating systems DRY THE AIR. A humidifier could help!!!

More info: first question is how long have you been experiencing throat pain every night?  is this days, weeks, months?  it's possible you have an infection -- both viruses and bacteria  can cause sore throats, and even allergies can cause drainage and discomfort.   are you having other symptoms?  Fever, cough?   regardless, important to stay hydrated and if the air is dry make sure no extra fans.

Folliculitis: inflamed  or infected hair follicles usually from contaminated tweezers. I suggest boiling your tweezers and after cooling down, wipe with rubbing alcohol: do this a least weekly. Use 1% OTC hydrocortisone cream on the reddened areas; however, if pus forms, you will need antibiotics.

Razor bumps: It sounds like razor bumps.  If you are using a razor on either of those areas...that’s the likely cause. If not, some sort of ectopic dermatitis is a possibility.  See a dermatologist.

Benedryl: Benadryl or the generic called "diphenhydramine" is often the drug store's own brand of allergy medicine. It can possibly cause some drowsiness so use caution but it can be your first line choice for an allergic reaction. If it does not help or the reaction gets worse or you start to have any trouble swallowing, go to the er asap for help.
