Mouth breathing?...: You could be doing an excessive amount of mouth breathing and/or snoring causing the tissues to dry out and become inflamed. What is the humidity level of your sleeping area? You may benefit from a humidifier. Nasal strips may help open nasal passages and help reduce tendency to breathe through the mouth. Proper hydration may help also,,, drink plenty of water throughout the day.
