Duplication: It would be like taking a larger dose of dexedrine (dextroamphetamine) (it's a component of vyvanse) Don't do it w/out approval from your provider. It might be more than your system should handle. These medications are not playthings or snacks. They really can harm you even taken according to directions - but at least someone's made a decision about the gains vs risks. I'd say don't - but I can be a party pooper.

Poor tolerance: Sound like you are not tolerating the current meds, might try a different stimulant or strattera a non-stim , "adhd" med-not likely to have such SE-long acting so no "withdrawl"

Desoxyn (methamphetamine): Desoxyn is the "thermonuclear bomb" of adhd treatment.  It is literally fda approved, pharmaceutical grade methamphetamine.  I have personally used it in only two patients that failed everything else - and it worked great. 

I think i'm reading that the effects you were getting are fading.  You might try adding l-tyrosine 500 - 1000 mg 2 - 3 times per day on empty stomach to boost their effects.

i currently take three10mg doses of adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) ir over the day, but i dislike the crash. is quillivant/vyvanse less "crash"-able than adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) ir?

Yup: Adderall xr, concerta, daytrana, vyvanse, quillivant, strattera intuniv, Kapvay are longer acting.  If the onset is slow, the crash is minimal.  Which is right for you must be determined by you and your doctor.  Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) (both forms), Ritalin sr, metadate (all forms) are shorter acting more "crashable" than above.  Eating or exercising at the anticipated crash time can mitigate the symptoms some.

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is the chemical structure before turning into Dexedrine.  We call a chemicals such as Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) a pro-drug or precursor drug.  The active ingredient is dextroamphetamine which functions as a stimulant.  Have you tried provigil for your narcolepsy?

Stimulant titration : Initial low doses of  stimulants are titrated up to optimal doses over a few weeks' time, unless significant side effects occur at a lower dose. Maximum adult daily doses of Adderall XR &amp; Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) are 40 mg. &amp; 70 mg. respectively. Discuss with your psychiatrist before seeking a dangerous medication. If your primary physician is the prescriber, seek referral to a psychiatrist.

An adult dose of : Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) 70 mg. given in AM takes about 2 hours to start working and lasts 12-14 hours in most adults.  If you are a rapid metabolizer, a dose of Adderall taken about an hour before Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) effects begin to diminish may carry you through. Another option is to add a non-stimulant adjunct like Intunive, titrating doses till you achieve optimal effects. After 4-6 weeks, its effect lasts 24/7.

hi, i'm a 45 year old male and i've been recently diagnosed with adhd. ive tried both vyvance 30mg and dextroamphetamine 5mg x 3 a day. vyvance makes me irritable, moody and i'm losing weight. dextroamphetamine doesnt do this and seems better. why?

Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine): Close. The 20 mg. Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is equivalent to 10 mg. Adderall, then go up by 10 for each.
