Biopsy proven: First of all, biopsy is needed to confirm /establish the diagnosis of melanoma. If it is proven then an information regarding the depth of invasion will be very important. Then a wide surgical resection +/- lymph glands exploration will be needed as the treatment for melanoma  once the diagnosis is proven by the biopsy.
