Lymph nodes.: The main thing in stage iii melanoma in anyone is that there are palpable lymph nodes in the vicinity of the tumor/melanoma. It has a 50% 5 year survival if only one node is involved and a 15-20% 5 year survival if 4 or more nodes are involved. Survival is improved with interferon-alpha treatment. Chemotherapy and immunotherapy may alsso help. Please see your doctor for the best treatment plan.

Usually none: Most melanoma patients are without symptoms, except for the primary melanoma on the skin. Other symptoms could be firm lymph nodes in the neck, axilla, or groin.
