Most asymptomatic: Most metastatic melanoma patients have no symptoms unless there is a mass that can be seen or felt. Brain metastases can cause headaches or neuro deficits, like weakness. People can also have a bowel blockage if there is an intestinal metastasis. But most common internal metastases like in the lung rarely cause any symptoms.

Varies: Most patients with limited disease have no symptoms. However, symptoms are more common when melnoma has travelled to certain locations; brain: headache or vision changes may occur; lungs: coughing or shortness of breath may occur; bowels: bleeding and anemia may occur; bone: pain may occur; skin or lymph nodes: pain may occur. The key word is 'may'. Symptoms may or may not happen.
