No evidence it helps: There is some scientific evidence that vitex agnus-castus (chaste tree berry) may help with pms symptoms and cyclic mastalgia (breast pain) but no studies showing that it helps women with pcos or infertility. If you have pcos and are trying to conceive the safety of vitex when you're pregnant is unknown, so you should stop it when you get a positive pregnancy test if you conceive while taking it.

PCOS: PCOS can't be diagnosed at 5. You could have a risk for it at that age because of family history, obesity or adrenal dysfunction. I strongly suggest reviewing all your medical history, labs, X-rays and treatments with a specialist in endocrinology.

PCOS: Herbal supplements like Vitex are not likely to help PCOS. The treatment depends on your goals and specific circumstances. Obese PCOS patient can focus on weight loss. PCOS patients who want cycle regulation can consider oral contraceptives. PCOS patient who desire pregnancy can see a doctor to discuss ovulation medications.

Don't use it.: There is no reason at all to 'take' vitex. Stop using it. Most 'natural Progesterone creams' do not contain any progesterone, and often contain plant extracts that are estrogenic . In my view there is no use for these creams. Talk with a doctor about pcos alternatives to what you need.

Not much: Vitex has been used in greece for many years, but there is no scientific data to establish it's reliability. Diet, exercise and weight loss can help. Metformin is a more scientific and well studied option. It can help noralize menses and even induce fertility in many women, discuss w/your ob/gyn. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet.

Yes: The minipill is not very effective at preventing pregnancy, and it's not good at regulating PCOS hormonal problems.  Use a pregnancy test and see a gynecologist that is comfortable managing PCOS.

Neither are useful: There is no scientific evidence that serratiopeptidase (serrapeptidase) affects any cause of infertility, including scarring in or around the fallopian tubes. There is evidence that vitex agnus-castus may help with pms symptoms and cyclic mastalgia (breast pain) but no studies showing that it helps women with pcos or infertility. If you have pcos and damaged tubes you need to see a rei specialist.

Unknown: Hard to specifically answer this Question.   Many patients with PCOS are unable to generate an adequate endometrium after a cycle starts.  The result is continuous bleeding and pain.  The estrogen levels are not high enough to develop an endometrium that will stop bleeding so patients continue to bleed and have pain until the estrogen levels get to a point to stop bleeding.  This often takes weeks
