Unknown: Hard to specifically answer this Question. Many patients with PCOS are unable to generate an adequate endometrium after a cycle starts. The result is continuous bleeding and pain. The estrogen levels are not high enough to develop an endometrium that will stop bleeding so patients continue to bleed and have pain until the estrogen levels get to a point to stop bleeding.
