Tricky: cannot say in your particular case, but generally, the rule of thumb is 6 weeks for healing, on the other hand, how much pressure is someone going to put onto the face?

Extractions: It is not uncommon for graft material to come out as we usually overfill the socket with bone graft. If a lot of the graft material came out or the socket it open, the bone graft may fail. You should definitely ask your dentist about it when you see him for the post operative visit (usually 7-14 days after surgery).

Graft: Bone graft usually works but you may add a bone stimulator for extra help.

Yes: Adequate nutrition is necessary for all healing of the body. Bone grafts require adequate calcium and vitamin D for healing. Please talk to your doctor or see a nutritionist for advice on improving your diet.

Ask your provider.: Temporaries can often be pre-made, so you can get them the day of surgery and you never go without the tooth in your smile.  There are many factors affecting your options, but you should cover this with your provider before your procedure.

: We do not have enough info for an appropriate advice. The choice depends upon the extent of involvement and location of disease so her orthopedist should know best. In general, for a a young patient I would consider conservative approaches first, i.e. Joint-preserving procedures, if possible.

See your dentist: Guesses regarding post surgical infection are a bad idea. Clindamycin is an antibiotic which will bind to bone and is excellent for dental infections, BUT. Your dental surgeon needs to evaluate this immediately

had 4 wisdom teeth out + bone graft in the top 2 teeth on may 24 (so nearly 2 weeks ago).

i've noticed that where the top two teeth used to be, it feels like there's in my cheeks. is this normal with stitches/healing?

: We cannot tell without looking at your mouth.You might be touching with your tongue the smooth tissue that is growing back to fill the hole left by the tooth.You should try not to touch the area with the tongue. This smoothness is normal. Take the medications prescribed by the oral surgeon.
If you experience worsening in pain, fever or other changes you need to go to your oral surgeon.

my gums have become red and swollen 16 days after a dental bone graft. if it is infected, what are the typical methods of treatment?

See yr dentist ASAP: Swollen and bleeding gums can be a sign that you are at risk for, or already have, advanced gum disease. Untreated gingivitis or tooth infection can lead to the bone graft loss and other health problems. See your dentist ASAP because the sooner you treat it the better the outcome.
