See below: Unless you s stained severe traumatic injury to your lower leg you probably have a strain of your calf muscle and some partial tears these are generally  treated conservatively with rest ice compression and elevation and progressive weight-bearing i would get some crutches to begin with and walking only no running or jumping. A oral over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication as recommended unless medically contraindicated would be helpful. Seeing an orthopedic surgeon for further treatment as I have limited information and examination from what you have provided would also be helpful.

i have recently had covid. i have a pain behind my leg, right leg at the back above my knee. there is a visible vein about 20 centimetres that wasnt there before. pain is mostly when i bend my leg. ?

Calf pain: May warrant an ultrasound to rule out a clot. Risk factors include smoking, obesity and oral contraceptives.

Varicose veins: Twitching or not, if there is aching and pain over the veins and in the leg along with ankle or leg swelling, a Duplex vein scan should be done to see if there is associated venous insufficiency. If there is, the insufficiency can be treated with laser (EVLT) or VNUS Closure and the veins with sclerotherapy or microphlebectomy. Seek an ABVLM certified vein specialist on Phlebology.org

Venous insufficiency: Venous insufficiency is the backwards flow of blood in the veins. This is the underlying cause of varicose veins. Varicose veins are dilated [bulging] veins that do not circulate blood properly. They can occur in either leg, right or left.
