a few weeks ago i suffered a concussion from a biking acident. i have tourettes and a week after my acident i developed a kinda violent head shaking tic and im wondering if that can make my concussion worse or cause permanent damage?

: The head trauma could indeed exacerbate temporarily the Tourette issues, but in the absence of significant structural brain damage, it is quite unlikely that there will be chronic deterioration of the movement disorder.

: I don't think so. I think you or a physician or neurologist would be able to distinguish the post concussion symptoms of headaches,dizziness,problems with concentration&amp; memory from your Tourette's  symptoms which shouldn't cause or aggravate the post concussion symptoms.

: If extreme, it may, although not likely. Shesr forces associated with acceleration and deceleration. Watch for signs of headache, dizziness and imbalance.

Anxiety: Ocd is an anxiety disorder and often the underlying anxiety takes forms other than the ocd symptoms proper. But it's important that your psychiatrist know about these symptoms, especially if you are on medication.

Not typically: But, if you shake it violently you could cause neck pain or headache but i doubt if you could shake it yourself enough to do brain damage...Now if you bang your head against the wall...

See neurologist: Could be tic, tremor or possibly tourette syndrome or another neurological problem.

Heavy head : Get checked by your Physician.could be anything from Sinus headache to high blood pressure.

Poss low BP: Sometimes young adults and teenagers can experience low blood pressure when getting up suddenly or standing for longer periods this can make one feel shaky or lightheaded  drink plenty of fluids and don't skip meals of it is occurring frequently go see your doctor

Please see your: doctor. There are many possible causes for this and without an examination it would be impossible to diagnose. Some reasons would not be serious and others could be.

Fluid: The brain and spinal cord are surrounded by cerebrospinal fluid (csf.) while the brain doesn't really 'float' it is suspended in the fluid, which helps protect it from moving around with small movements, like shaking your head.
