what is the difference between paraxtine and venlaflaxin?

Antidepressants: They are pretty different on the neurotransmitters they affect (serotonin/norepinephrin), half life, molecular structure, side effects (like weight gain, paroxetine causes this more often; etc) and pharmacodynamics. They share some indications and uses (besides obviously as antidepressants) and both are relatively inexpensive.

i cannot remember if i took my venlaflaxine today, what do i do?

Wait til tomorrow: It will not significantly reduce the effectiveness of the medication to miss a day of medication every so often. It is always best to take it daily, but it could harm you to overdose. So it is always safest to wait until the next day to get back to regular dosing if you think you may have taken it but are not sure.

Not yet: I'm glad you feel great on venlafaxine so far.  You haven't shared why you were prescribed this, though.  If for depression, most people need to stay on it for 9-12 months so that relapse is less likely.  Please talk with your doctor before changing your medication.  Best wishes.

It's OK: Sometimes, combinations of psych medications are beneficial for individual patients. No interaction between these two meds has been formally reported or evaluated. As long as they're being prescribed ; monitored by the same practitioner, you are okay taking them both together.

Different doctor: If you current doctor is not helpful in treating your depression, it is appropriate to see a different one, specifically a psychiatrist. You should try to exercise. Exercise is as effective as medication of mild to moderate depression. Try to exercise for 30 minutes first thing each morning. Any exercise, walking, jogging, treadmill etc. will do

Stress, : Stress, anxiety, and depression can all affect your menstrual cycle. Your hormones are likely imbalanced thus causing your absent period (amenorrhea). See your doctor and discuss the possibility of starting birth control pills to help regulate your cycle.

Discuss with doctor: Venlafaxine or other antidepressants may cause mania or hypomania. Thc can complicate treatment of bipolar disorder.  You are already aware that (fingolimod) gylenia is for tx of ms. Notice that you are also a social drinker  which can be problematic with bipolar disorder. Please sit down and discuss this with your physician/ physicians.
