Recovery or ?: Are you walking differently?  Are the muscles weaker than before?  This can cause these symptoms.  How long ago was the surgery, and what was done?  Where is the joint pain, and where is the vibration?

These symptoms may just be temporary as you complete your recovery.

Joint swelling: Joint swelling and pain in a young female without trauma may indicate an inflammatory process, autoimmune disease, or maybe even a viral infection. If this persists and does not respond to simple anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen or naproxen, see your doc.

Legs vibrating????: Unclear what you mean "vibrating feeling".  If episodic and no other symptoms then i wouldn't worry about it.  As an interest, do you often have a computer on your lap and/or keep a phone in your pants pocket or on your belt?

Nerve irritation: This could be a couple different nerves that are irritated. It could be stemming from an irritated nerve in your back that wraps around and innervates the area. If you do not have an back pain, you may also have something called meralgia parasthetica. This can be caused by tight fitting pants or obesity with a panus. Recommend seeing a pain or physiatrist doc who could diagnose based exam.

having a mild vibrating feeling in buttocks leg when i bend my neck quickly down that just started today. googled lhermittes sign now im terrified. could it just be an irritation from sitting with head bent down working on computer? irritation?

Vibrating Feeling  : Vibrating feeling is unusual. You may have mralgia paresthetica, a dysfunction of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve which comes out of the abdoment across the front hip bone and permits sensation to the upper outer thigh.  You could also have disc disease at the l3-4 level.  If oyu are concerned about blood clots, you should see your primary care doctor asap.

Nerve or muscle: Sometimes it's a peripheral nerve firing spontaneously; sometimes it's a muscle twitching(which you can usually see). If this is only a localized problem, then it doesn't sound serious. However, with widespread occurrence  i would recommend a neurologic exam and blood tests.

Yes: It could be either central or peripheral nerve problem.Need to be evaluated by a neurologist.

Need more info: A doctor can much better help you when you give more clues.....Where on the leg does it hurt? Any time of day? What type of pain? What activity causes it if any? The question is to general to really help you. Sorry.

To an extent: It takes a long time for the nerves to re-sprout. A percentage of the nerve fibers can find there way back to where they belong. Other nerves will take over part of the territory. If you are left with a small area of numbness it is often barely noticeable. The whole process takes months to years. The healing process is complex and may require slow re-growth from the dorsal root ganglia
