( make sure the patient is able to breath ok , that blood pressure is ok , etc) in some patients who get care withing 3-4.5 hrs of symptoms a clot busting drug may improve outcome. Long term rx involves rehab, risk factor control & use of aspirin, or even more potent drug to prevent blood clots.

The new floaters are probably from a vitreous detachment in the affected eye. normal issue.
