Liposuction is Safe: Often liposuction is performed under local anesthesia so it is very safe.  Cleanliness is important to avoid infection.
Doc needs to be well trained, so look into their background.  Also helps to see a few docs before you do it.
Liposuction takes away bulges but does not lead to weight loss.  Gaining weight after liposuciton will cause irregularities and unevenness.  So keep your weight stable.

The: I- lipo uses light to induce lipolysis while the U- lipo uses ultrasound to do the same. Both has modest short term effect. In my humble opinion and experience a waste of time and money. Most of the modest effect do not last for long. The treatments are expensive. Best see a Bariatrician and lose weight naturally

Not at all!: You've made the case that there is "distortion" at your low wt. without having had anything done other than losing weight. We plastic surgeons call this"lipodystrophy," and it constitutes the setting in which liposuction is the best treatment. Your surgery could probably be easily done in an office setting if the surgeon is ABPS-certified and or hey member of the ASPS.

You : You are certainly correct that body contouring results depend on how we interact with gravity in the standing position. Since we are human, however, it would be technically rather difficult to perform liposuction on someone who is standing up. For this reason, the markings for liposuction are done at 360 degrees in the standing position. The patient is then placed recumbent for the surgery, either face down, back down or both. It is dependent on the surgeon's talent and skill to translate the markings made upright into the appropriate fat removal and scuplting. While early taping and dressings are applied with the patient lying down, later garments and taping are perfromed while standing to help mold the body into its new shape as swelling subsides and the skin resettles.

Plastic Surgeon: You should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. He will be able to guide you as to which procedure is best for you. I use tumescent, vaser, and laser (smartlipo) liposuction techniques. I think that smartlipo is great for the arms, neck, and abdomen. Vaser is great for the back and breast. Tumescent liposuction is great for all the other areas. An experienced surgeon is best.

Zerona =any results?: The real question should be does zerona give any results. The outcome definitely requires diet and exercise which is always good. Bad results are unlikely because, in my opinion, it doesn't deliver any results.
