The obvious secret: With EDS you cannot always prevent brain aneurysms, but there some things you can do to reduce your risk. No smoking, no drinking, healthy diet, regular exercise, manage your stress and get screened more often.  Take a good care.

A teaching hospital.: A University hospital in SpringfieldU Tufts U. Medical Center, or any of the  reputed medical centers in New York, such as Mount Sinai, Presbyterial would be excellent choices. I do not know exactly how big the aneurysm is, where is located etc. If you are seeking a specialist in any of these places, please take a copy of the CT or the ultrasound with you and contact them soon.

No: Temporal arteritis is a diagnosis proven or disproven by a temporal artery biopsy. Other tests or labs may point toward it, but a biopsy is definitive. Treatment is long term high dose steroids. You need a ct, mri, or angiogram to identify an aneurysm. Talk with your doctor about a neurologist consultation.

Rupture is a risk: Your statement was not complete re: the Vascular Surgeons opinion. I would have it coiled by a interventional radiologist. There is a 25% of splenic infarction post procedural. If it is causing pain that means it is growing

Since arteries are a system under pressure, high blood pressure may make them worse. High cholesterol & smoking affect some aneurysms. Rupture of one in the brain can cause stroke; rupture of one in the aorta is surgical emergency.
