Yes needs evaluation: A varicocoele is a collection of veins surrounding the testicle. If present, it is usually associated with the (l) testicle, based on the anatomy of the veins of the body. A (r) sided varix is often a benign finding, but could point to a tumor in the abdomen. At the very least, an ultrasound of the abdomen should be done if an isolated (r) varicocoele is present.

Varicocele: Right sided varicoceles are quite unusual without having one on the left. You should make sure there is not something causing it inside your pelvis and that it is the correct diagnosis.

Follow up: Is recommended. If any symptoms assignable to varicocele, such as pain or infertility, your urologist needs to know as surgery may be offered at that point.
