Muscle spasm: Valium is a good muscle relaxant and you may want to add local heat and OTC Advil or Aleve (naproxen) for pain and inflammation.

i cannot get more that 2-3 hours of sleep every night. i havetried all the natural routes and had elavil, valium, xanax (alprazolam). also, there is no psychological component. nothing is helping. what should i do?

What evaluation?: It sounds like you're very uncomfortable here.  However, it's not clear what evaluation you've actually had for your sleep issues.  Most chronic sleep problems at least induce a "psych component" from sleep deprivation alone, but one needs to review your whole situation before the sleep problem started to discern what's what.  Have you seen sleep medicine physician? You may need formal studies.

doc rxed tramadol 50mg-100mg every 6 hours for pain. i've recently come off prozac, (fluoxetine) over two weeks. i also take 15mg valium/day. could i get seizure??

Take as directed...: With limited information here, appears decreasing Prozac (fluoxetine) and continuing on valium poses little risk.  Reminder to start and stop medications as directed by prescribing physician, but in general, decreasing and stopping Prozac (fluoxetine) or ssri type medications is reasonably safe from a seizure risk concern.

i am taking 10 325 norco every 6 hours with 2 benedryl and 3 advil due to recent heart ablations i normally take 10mg of requip amd 10md of valium at night to sleep but i am out of valium so i am taking tamazapam instead of valium i am not sleeping but 4

i have beeen taking 2.5 mg of valium for 2 yrs (as needed usually 2 to 3 times a day i was sent lorazepam to switch to/no schedule of how to transition, dosage being being .25 ml every 6 hr how soon can i transition if im not on valium to lorazepam?

: You should call the doctor who is prescribing the lorazepam to determine how to make the switch. You may be able to simply stop taking the Valium and take lorazepam for the next dose. It is important that you don’t take both medications-after you take lorazepam, do not take any more Valium doses. Controversial: Valium is a benzodiazepine, and potential harm to babies with first trimester exposures has been debated for many years. Recent studies show an incidence of about .7% of cleft lip or palate in such babies, when compared to normal population.
