Myositis ossificans: The location of the muscle calcification is not located near the vagus nerve based on your location description.  Would look for another source of complaints.

i was told that because of the vagus nerve that gerd can cause a fast heart rate. is that true?

GERD: A rapid heart rate is not in general a part of gastroesophageal reflux disease syndrome. The vagus nerve does have a proximity to the area but is not usually affected by what is going on with esophageal reflux.

22 year old son when eating feels like food is stuck near his heart area. he gets faint, sweaty, heart rate lower, can this be the vagus nerve 4 yrs ?

Esophageal spasm: Consider gastroesophageal reflux disease(gerd), with resultant esophageal spasm which brings on symptoms described.  Best to see your primary physician who may consider referral to gastoenterologist.

No: Pressing on the vagus nerve or doing a carotid massage usually induces a vagal response which by definition translates to a slowing of the heart rate, not increasing it.

heart rate jumps from low to ~120 bpm when urinating after waking up.  been this way for years. is this to counteract drop in bp, or a vagus response?

Counteract to drop: It is called Orthostatic Hypotension. Your blood pressure top one drops 20, bottom one drops 10 and your heart rate goes up to 20.

Not your heart: If you feel like your heart is racing and all of those tests are normal, then it is safe to say it is not your heart or the vagus nerve. You and your doctor should pursue other diagnoses including anxiety.

i pinched my vagus nerve in my right shoulder and now my arm hurts a lot and my heart rate is irregular. what kind of treatment can i do at home for this?

Go : Go to the er...Go directly to the er!  do not eat a sandwich, nor anything else for that matter!

the vagus nerve is not associated with sensory signals from the upper extremities.  It starts in the brainstem and wanders throughout the neck, chest, and abdomen to control a variety of organ functions.

The symptoms you are describing are more typical of a heart attack.  Any abnormal heart rhythm should be evaluated immediately in an emergency room.  Even something like atrial fibrillation can cause blood clots to the brain (a stroke).

i have heart rate that can't be controlled, blood pressure, choking, pain, breathing problems.  i believe this to be from damage to my vagus nerve.

It is certainly: possible though less likely that you have vagus nerve damage, unless you have had recent surgery in the chest or neck area.   In order to diagnose this condition, you would need a neuro surgeon who may send you to Neurology for vagal nerve stimulation testing.   Overall, this is a difficult diagnosis to make.  But it is possible with the right physicians

have an atypical form trigeminal neuralgia. also neck pain trouble swallowing. heart rate also increases a lot while standing up straight and feel dizzy and faint. nausea. anxiety. could this all actually stem from the vagus nerve? what tests?

Neurologist: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor, preferably a neurologist.

If the pinched nerve: is causing a great deal of pain then it would be possible to cause an elevation in your heart rate indirectly. There is no direct causative effect of a pinched nerve on the heart.
