Yeast infection: Monostat may not have completely alleviated the problem, and it could be residual yeast infection.

If it's more in the groin creases, it could be intertrigo, which occurs when skin in the body creases is occluded from exposure to air.

If it is hot to touch, see a physician as soon as possible to make sure it is not a cellulitis which would need oral antibiotics quickly to treat. Intertrigo is a rash that occurs in folds of skin and can be treated with topical creams usually.

Possibly: You could give it a try. It is really for superficial skin infections. You could also use lotion or some mild sort of healing ointment like A and D ointment. Don't use vaseline as it can block pores and set you up for a yeast infection.

Ouch!: The vulva is not a spot that is conducive to public scratching or is endured with patience.  Obviously, the vulva is reacting to your menstrual flow, pads, or harsh soaps in the area. Eliminate the soaps, douches, and prolonged use of "medicated" mini or maxi pads(including panty liners) and if this continues see a GYN MD for causes.

Better see doctor: You don't provide enough information. If you had vigorous sex and are now a bit sore, probably nothing is wrong and the discomfort will clear up in a couple of days. Otherwise, itching or irritation is most commonly caused by yeast infection, but other things are possible, such as herpes if you are sexually active. If older (e.g. post menopausal), maybe low estrogen. Best see a doctor about this.

Abstain sexually: Cotton boxer undergarments, spend 10-15 minutes on foreplay until both you and your partner are wet, changes positions, communicate and OK to use a light application of vaseline to the chaffed area. Give it 1 week.
